After trying multiple curtains for our window, we found that these were the most durable and effective at blocking light and insulating the room. They are also visually appealing with a nice multi-tonal tan and white color scheme.

However, the grommets may allow some light to enter depending on the curtain rod setup. I wish there was a version without grommets to reduce light from the top.
